Why did you decide to apply to be an Alumni Ambassador? NC State traditions have been an important influence in my life from a young age, so I knew coming into college I wanted to be able to participate in those as much as possible. AASAP was the perfect place for me to not only help foster existing traditions, but also leave my mark on campus by creating new ones. After learning about how many different campus traditions AASAP runs, such as Homecoming, pep rallies, and the Student Alumni Association, I knew this was the right place for me to be.

What excites you most about being an Alumni Ambassador? Being an ambassador gives me the opportunity to collaborate with other students passionate about NC State and its traditions. I love having the opportunity to work with a group of fellow students just as excited as I am to keep the campus traditions alive, as well as implement new traditions for the years to come.

What is your favorite AASAP event? Homecoming week as a whole is my favorite AASAP event, but if I had to choose within the week, LipSync and the Canned Food Drive are my favorites. LipSync is such a fun event; I love seeing the spirit competitors perform, as well as spending time with the other ambassadors enjoying the music and dances. Canned Food Drive was extremely successful last year, collecting over 20,000 cans for the Food Bank CENC. Watching that event come together made me truly proud to be a part of the Wolfpack community. 

What is your favorite AASAP memory? My favorite AASAP memory/memories are the 2 Washington, D.C. trips I've taken with the Ambassadors. Both years we have gone, it was a time to bond and get to know each other outside of our meetings and events. We also got to meet NC State Alumni, while touring our nation's capital. Both of those trips are highlights of my time as an Ambassador.
