Jennifer Jones graduated from North Carolina State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a focus in Marketing. Jennifer is a Raleigh native, and resides in the Raleigh area with her 10 year old son, Zander.
Jennifer’s career in marketing began when a temporary job became permanent with one of the state’s largest advertising firms, McKinney and Silver. There she worked in the media buying department. She transitioned from media advertising and decided to continue her career in marketing by combining it with her passion in fashion in 2003. This led her to her current position as the Marketing Director at Triangle Town Center.
Jennifer has been the Marketing Director for Triangle Town Center since 2006 and is very passionate about the business. Jennifer is the mall’s spokesperson and is frequently quoted in various news publications such as the Triangle Business Journal. She has been repeatedly featured on Time Warner Cable News promoting fashion trends and mall events. She works closely with successful businesses within the mall to encourage sales. Jennifer’s outgoing, enthusiastic personality allows her to thrive within the marketing profession.
Although Jennifer works full-time at Triangle Town Center, she is also one of the owners of The Sutherland, a unique eighteenth century estate event venue. The Sutherland ranks as one of the top 3 most romantic wedding venues in North Carolina by Southern Bride and Groom Magazine. Jennifer is solely responsible for marketing The Sutherland, and has also coordinated over 100 weddings in her time there.
In addition to marketing for Triangle Town Center and The Sutherland she recently began to act as a marketing consultant with small businesses, helping with advertising, events and social media goals. She continues to build her relationships, marketing knowledge and expertise with retail and event centered businesses.
On a more personal level, Jennifer’s achievements and successes did not come easily. She had to overcome numerous family difficulties during her childhood and adolescence. Following high school she was unable to immediately pursue her college education. She was forced into the business world in order to support herself. Jennifer knew that having a college degree was crucial to her success so she worked her way through Louisburg College, earned her Associates Degree and applied to North Carolina State University. She is looking forward to sharing her success with fellow WOLFPACK students.
