The N.C. Conference of Clerks of Superior Court has named Jamie Lassiter as its new executive director effective July 1, 2016. She comes to the conference from the N.C. Department of Public Safety (Governor's Crime Commission) as a grants planning and management specialist working with crime victims’ services. In addition to working with the Governor's Crime Commission, Lassiter has worked as a policy and research advisor to the Speaker Pro Tem of the North Carolina House of Representatives where she focused her expertise on legislative affairs. She began her career as a Deputy Clerk of Superior Court in Wake County.
She graduated from N.C. State University in 2011 receiving a Bachelor's degree with a major / minor in Political Science, Spanish, and History. Lassiter continued her studies at NCSU with a Master's degree in Public Administration in 2014 focusing on public policy and the administration of justice.
In her spare time, she enjoys visiting different geographic areas of North Carolina and attending NC State sporting events and theatre performances with her family. She is married to her husband Scott, an assistant principal in Raleigh, and they reside in Cary.
